Before using this drug, what should I notify my medical team?
If you have any of the following conditions, they need to know:
Heart illness, liver disease, low blood calcium levels, seizures, stomach or intestine issues, an unusual or adverse reaction to cinacalcet, other medications, foods, colours, or preservatives, being pregnant or trying to become pregnant, and breastfeeding are just a few of the conditions that should be taken into consideration before taking this medication.
How exactly should I take this medicine?
Orally consume this medication together with a glass of water. The prescription label's instructions should be followed. Never chew, break, or crush tablets. Take this medication with food or immediately following a meal. Take your medication on schedule. Never take your medication more frequently than recommended. Except as directed by your doctor, do not stop taking.

Side Effects

Cinacalcet's side effects could be really bad. If you experience any of the following:
muscular pain, tightness, or contraction; convulsions; shortness of breath (even with light exercise), swelling, or quick weight gain; numbness or tingling around your mouth; pain, tightness, or contraction in your muscles;
Bloody or tarry stools, spitting up blood, or vomit that resembles coffee grounds are symptoms of stomach bleeding, whereas numbness or tingling in the mouth area, a fast or slow heartbeat, muscle tightness, and hyperactive reflexes are symptoms of low calcium levels in the blood.

Precautions
Before taking cinacalcet, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: low levels of calcium in the blood (hypocalcemia), seizures, stomach/intestinal problems (such as ulcers, gastritis, heartburn).
Very low levels of calcium can affect the heart rhythm (QT prolongation, ventricular arrhythmias). This risk may be increased if you have certain conditions or are taking drugs that can affect the heartrhythm. Before taking cinacalcet, tell your doctor of all the drugs you take and if you have heart rhythm problems or other heart problems (such as heart failure, low blood pressure).
Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products).
During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
